Regarding rainwater harvesting and productive gardening

during the forthcomming months, there is going to be acute water shortage and we ,instead of harping, should get into action and make roof top water harvesting mandatory for all blocks here.

Important necessity

I think we require a space or blog for our residents who wish to sell/buy their articles, vehicles etc. or rent/sell/buy our apartments in this website. I require a sofaset for one of my apartments here and interested people may mail to my e-address shamsun123@aol.com. also I wish to sell my Gigantic TV cum curio and book shelf.

Annual Cultural Program 2009 At Yamuna Block

Like every year, we had our Annual Cultural Day at Yamuna Block. The residents of our block showcased their talents in singing, dancing, etc. It was a fun filled evening with entertainment & games followed by dinner.

The response and participation from the residents was very good. We plan to do the next year's event even better!

Why should you takeover the maintenance of your block?

A dilemma many blocks have is whether to take over the maintenance of their block or to let KHB manage it.  It may be a moot point since eventually all blocks will have to look after themselves.

In my view, the faster you take charge the better. Here are just a few glimpses of what can be done if you are in charge.

Now comes the really hard part

Yes, setting up a community site does take a bit of effort. But that's the easy part. The really difficult thing is how to get the community to start actively participate. If you think this site is a good idea and will benefit everyone, there are a few actions you can take to make this this a success (from easy to hard):

Why the migration from Ning to Drupal?

Were you wondering whatever happened to the newly minted NGV community at Ning? Since past week or more, I have been researching on how to create a better site than the Ning one. Since we don't have many members yet, I thought it would be better to get the site in proper shape before we invited more members.
